I created a website with all of our work on it, We all put 5 - 10 images each of our work. Here is a screen shot of the home page.

Personal Evaluation of Project Three
This was a really great project for me, it allowed me to work along with 3rd year students and get a view of their way of working and approaches towards projects. It was a lot of fun to design a game and a lot of work but eventually paid off and we were pleased with our final game level. I focused on the textures of the game and i was happy with the outcome of the textures, maybe a bit more experimentation could have pushed the level a bit further but i guess that is for the development stages. I learnt a lot in UV mapping and blender throughout this project and through out the paper which is very valuable. I would like to further develop my skills in Unity in the future as Rory and Tom produced some amazing things in the program.

Here is a textured version of our character Zinc, Sam modeled the character which is built up of moving cogs and then passed it on to me to texture. Each cog is individually textured with different textures. This is close to the finished version of the character, we might change it if need be.

We had two slightly different versions of Zinc. One has the stripy texture on the armor and the other is kept metal.

Here is the UV map for Zinc’s eyes.

Final finished version on Zinc so far. We decided to go with the plain metal armor. we may tweak it a bit if we have enough time but at the moment we have agreed that it is working nicely with the game level and what we are trying to achieve.

These are a couple of the images I got off Google.

My own textures I made in Photoshop

We’ve made a start on our project and I’ve been given the job to texture our character, cogs and maybe our level (not to sure). I have looked at images on Google and around the net to use for the cogs however I would like to go out and take some images of my own and use them to texture our cogs and character. I have also made some textures in photoshop. Sam has also given me a useful program called filter forge which can be used to manipulate textures, i haven’t had a chance to look at that yet though. But hopefully i will get on to that soon.

I found this project to be interesting as it was the first time I have worked with a gaming program or designed a game level. I found it a little bit difficult at first but once i got into it and started exploring around it was good. I really underestimated how long it would take to do things in unity and blender so for the future i know that i must manage my time more sufficiently. I found this assignment a good experience and look forward to the third project and working further with Unity and Blender.
